Spring Turkey Huntat Flying W Ranch
A maximum of one hunting group (1-6 sportsmen) is permitted on the property. This group will have exclusive access to the property during the dates you book.
The Flying W Ranch is pleased to host sportsmen seeking a great hunting experience. We offer traditional and conservation hunts for turkey that frequent the property. We have Rios and Easterns here, but mainly Easterns.
Our property's proximity to a two-mile stretch of the Cottonwood River makes for excellent hunting terrain.
We don't have any permanent stands set up; however, sportsmen are permitted to bring their own to hunt from.
Price is $150 per sportsman per day for the hunt.
No lodging available at this time.
The Flying W is located in Turkey Management Unit 6.
Turkey hunters will most likely see Hybrids in this part of Kansas.
For Turkey Hunts in Unit 6, permits are available over the counter for both residents and non-residents.
Archery Season: 4/3/23 - 4/11/23
General Season: 4/12/23 - 5/31/23
Additional packages can be accommodated. Inquire for more information.
This property is tailor-made for turkey and whitetail hunting. Lots of hardwood timber and heavily covered creek bottoms. I have seen turkeys on almost every visit, but recently I saw several deer, as well as turkeys feeding along the brushy, pasture edges.

I am a 5th generation rancher in the old growth tallgrass prairie of the Kansas Flint Hills.
we operate a 7,000 acre ranch using sustainable and regenerative management. Our management is basically nature plus 2 or 3, that is that we let nature do what it wants, stay out of her way and add just 2 or 3 management practices that make our operation more profitable and more sustainable.
We like our hunting fishing and tourism the same way. Stay out of natures way, leave nothing but footprints and make our ecosystem better for having been here.
