Gardner Farms is a fourth-generation family property on the far eastern border of the Great State of Kansas. The farm should make an excellent local spot for turkey hunters this spring being only an hour's drive from the Kansas City area. The property is located right outside of Louisberg, KS, and less than a mile from the Missouri border.
We are opening 207 acres of the farm for turkey hunting and fishing. We have an abundance of turkeys! The landscape features thick pockets of timber, open pasture and ag fields, slight rolling hills, and ponds. At this time, no lodging is available; however, our proximity to Kansas City and other nearby towns make it easy for guests commuting to the property from the area's nearby hotels.
We also have a pond available with bluegill and largemouth bass that can make for a great day of fishing, once again, close enough to the city, that you can escape for the afternoon.

After my initial visit last year, I had to come out and hunt Mark and Dorothy's property! My buddy and I had an amazing hunt taking two very nice Eastern Turkeys within an hour of one another! Their place and their hospitality is top notch! I think they were more excited that we had success than we were!

I had a great hunt and was fortunate to harvest a beautiful eastern turkey early on the first day. The property was well managed, easily accessible, and had lots of Jakes and mature Toms. Mark and Dorothy are some of the kindest people you could ever meet. I hope to return next season to do it again.

Dorothy and Mark are exactly what Kansas (and true Midwesterners) are all about. Incredibly hospitable, fun to talk to, and communicative. The property is gorgeous - a mix of hardwoods, ponds, small creeks, and history. I heard multiple gobblers every morning and am certain I would have taken one if I had been able to spend more time there during the day (mornings were my only slot due to family obligations). I had multiple hens approach my decoys, saw loads of squirrels, deer, and even a couple of coyotes! You will not regret booking this property.
