Geary Cabin
The Geary Cabin is part of a family-owned cattle ranch that has been operational since 1951. For decades, cattle have roamed the native prairie lands, feeding on the mesmerizing grasslands and hay bottoms with the backdrop of mountains in the distance. However, the ranch is taking a quick break from cattle ranching this year due to drought, leaving this 320 acre property open for recreators to explore freely. Located just one mile outside of Grass Range, MT, we welcome you to explore the land with your friends and family!
There are a few sections of timbered land on the property as well as spring-water sources. This habitat attracts a variety of species such as deer, coyotes, prairie dogs, elk in the fall and a wide diversity of birds!
We are happy to offer lodging accommodations in our cabin, which was built right on a dam that is spring fed. Visitors can sit on the porch and watch fish go over the dam, or go fishing in the private pond nearby. This quaint cabin sleeps 4 adults, but could easily fit a family of up to 6. It offers a living room, kitchen, bathroom, one bedroom and a loft with a futon and a queen bed. The county road cuts through the middle of the property, allowing easy access up to the cabin. Please message us to make sure our cabin is available for the days you would like Before booking.
We can be made available to help retrieve harvest if necessary and have a place to clean/store animals for a duration of time. There is a meat processor close by. There is no minimum or maximum number of days to book a trip.
We are looking forward to welcoming you onto our property for your next adventure!

Great spot for lodging with the small pond off the porch. I did see two groups of muleys, 4 does in one group and a bachelor group with a nice 150"-160" type buck.

The cabin is nice and cozy. My wife and I didn't hunt on the property, we mainly hunted out on the breaks. Saw a few muledeer does that hung around the cabin. Nice location lots of deer, elk and pheasants around Grass Range.
