Join us for an educational and fun day while gaining insight into the branding practices of the American West! Meet some real cattlemen and cattlewomen. All ages love this day, especially the kids!
Adults and kids are invited to our annual family branding held on the Friday of Memorial Weekend. The branding will take place Friday, May 23rd at our farm.
The package includes the branding and noon meal . The branding starts around 8:30 and concludes around 1:30 after lunch.
We have 2 packages available of a family of 4.
We live across from Cheney Reservoir, so you might want to consider making a weekend of it. You can find out more about their cabins @ Cabins / Cheney / Locations / State Parks / KDWP - KDWP (ksoutdoors.com). The Cheney Lake property itself has 3 major trails to hike and several kinds of bird watching, as well as fishing, etc. The Outpost at Cheney Lake which is directly across from the main entrance, has kayaks and canoes for rent, and they are a full-service convenient store, restaurant, bar and beer garden.

Our property is a multi-generational working farm and ranch. We primarily raise wheat, and feed/sedan for our cattle. We also operate a seed cleaning business and clean seed wheat.
We have two grown children that helped on the farm and were active in 4-H, sports and academics while in school. Our oldest daughter is married and lives on a farm about 45 miles away and has 2 little boys. She is a 4-H Extension Agent and County DIrector and her husband is the manager of Terra Financial, Inc. for The Citizens State Bank Group. Our youngest daughter is the Director of Marketing for Pratt Community College.
