We are an active aquaculture farm with direct access to coastal Florida fishing and waterfowl hunting. Our island acreage is made up of mostly wetland and marsh habitat. 

This is a unique part of the country for those who've never experienced it, featuring one of a kind views and land/water-scapes. Our property is also home to the cemetery of the Hodges Family, one of the most prominent pioneer famlies in this part of Levy County, Florida.

We are located about 10 minutes from Yankeetown.

This a great location for waterfowl hunters looking to hunt the surrounding islands and water. Sportsmen can use the property as their own private boat launch and parking area. 

Beyond the hunting, the waters surrounding Hickory Island offer exceptional backcountry coastal fishing. Redfish, sheepshead, snook, speckled trout, flounder, and tarpon are all present in the surrounding waters, covering both the inshore and nearshore opportunities this part of Florida is known for. The combination of island access and fish species makes this a legitimate destination for anglers looking for old-Florida fishing on private ground.

Guests can also use the outdoor grills down here, and we will provide a port-a-potty.

A few things are important to know before booking. The only road to the property runs two miles through the marsh, and tidal conditions can occasionally push water over the roadway. We allow cancellations and rescheduling when this happens. Sudden severe weather and lightning are part of the coastal Florida reality out here, and guests should plan accordingly. Please do not touch or disturb any of the aquaculture equipment on the premises. The area of the property where our home is located is off-limits to guests.
