The Janssen Ranch consists of 920 acres in the Sunflower State's Ellsworth County.
Our ranch is home to some great hunting and fishing opportunities, providing guests the perfect way to get out and experience Central Kansas at its finest!
Due to lower populations, we are limiting our upland bird hunts until next year.
At this time, we don't have structured lodging available for guests, but we are always open to campers or RVers looking to stay overnight on the ranch. Plus, the property is situated 25-35 miles from both Interstate 70 and Interstate 135, providing guests convenient access from near or far!

Available Packages
The Janssen ranch is a delightful piece of property with whitetail, Turkey, quail, and small ponds for a bit of fishing as well. The family reported seeing quail the day before behind their barn and turkeys on the property in their barnyard.

Janssen family was great! Very welcoming and had a daily hunting plan. Unfortunately the pheasant hunting was nonexistent, but we did very well with quail. Lots of diverse terrain for Kansas. season coincides with white tail hunting.Got to make sure deer hunters not in same area because quail and deer found in same tree lines.

Janssen Ranch is nestled in the Southern edge of Ellsworth county, and northen Rice county. The Smoky Hills lend the ranch a perfect setting for diverse wildlife, and outdoor experiences, for the avid hunter, bird watcher to just appreciating the ever changing outdoors! Janssen Ranch is a working cattle ranch, running Spring & Fall commercial cow/calf herd, producing row crops of wheat, milo as well as putting up all of the hay for the Ranch livestock. Come experience the Sunrise or Sunset from a high pasture bluff, stunning starry night skies, take in the evening country sounds as doe with fawns come through to feed to photographing the evening skyline with the the classic windmill.
