In addition to antelope, our best success in years past has been with cow elk, mostly during the late shoulder season. Our elk hunting shoulder season will begin August 15th for cow elk only before bow season and will continue after general elk season through February 15th for cow elk only.

The Lewis Ranch is a sprawling piece that is home to whitetail, muleys, and pronghorn. Elk can be found out in the fields during the late season, and there are plenty of coyotes for the predator hunters out there. The ponds here are a great place to take a break and cast a line.
