Lewis Ranch
50,000 acres in Lavina, Montana nestled right up to the Big Snowy Mountains. We look forward to hosting your hunting, fishing, or bird watching experience here in the Treasure State's Golden Valley County.
Our lodging beds are more like cots with mattress pads. We have sleeping bags available for guests to use. We also have electricity hooked up, which is great for blowing up any air mattresses you bring!
This property also features a buffalo jump and teepee rings!
The Lewis Ranch is a sprawling piece that is home to whitetail, muleys, and pronghorn. Elk can be found out in the fields during the late season, and there are plenty of coyotes for the predator hunters out there. The ponds here are a great place to take a break and cast a line.

Vic was excellent to work with getting my visit setup. The fishing at the trout pond was incredible. Fat rainbows were aggressive and acrobatic at the end of my line. A real gem of a fishing spot in the middle of Montana.

We absolutely loved our stay at the ranch. This was our second time doing it. It is beautiful, remote, wild and peaceful. A complete Montana ranch experience, like I've hoped and imagined it to be. There are a few dogs and cats on the property and they are all so nice and come to say hi, which is so fun! Vic and his family are kind, accommodating, easy, communicative, and welcoming. We've gone to see the sage grouse lek on their property 2x now, and it is a 5 mile drive from the ranch cabin we spent the night in. It was so easy. We definitely plan on making this one of our annual places to stay to see this very special wildlife spectacle! The cabin itself is comfy, has a rustic feel, a huge kitchen with everything and cookware for large groups, the water in the bathroom is so nice and hot -- which is KEY after a windy morning with the grouse. We love being there. Thank you to Vic and his family for such great visits!
Reviewed by Guest on April 2022 What a great place! We had a great visit to the amazing Greater Sage Grouse lek not 5 minutes from the guest accommodations. Wildlife was plentiful: Pronghorn, Mule and White-tailed Deer, and other great birds. Other really cool sites on the ranch include a Buffalo Jump and original Teepee Rings!
