The Lewis Ranch is a sprawling piece that is home to whitetail, muleys, and pronghorn. Elk can be found out in the fields during the late season, and there are plenty of coyotes for the predator hunters out there. The ponds here are a great place to take a break and cast a line.

I spent 2 days chasing antelope with my two son's. My son shot a great antelope the second day after many blown stalks. I did not fill my tag but that was 100% my decision not lack of game. Everything was better than expected. My son appreciated the "cheater bars" on most of the gates. I grew up working on a ranch and it was great to see the newness and excitement of a working ranch through their eyes.

Another fantastic hunting trip on the Lewis Ranch!! Hospitality of Vic and his family is second to none. Excellent lodging with everything you need except food to eat. #1 recommended for those looking for the perfect DIY hunt. Amazing property with more than abundant game.

Vic and Augie and the whole Lewis family could not have been more helpful. Bunkhouse was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Saw several different herds of Elk throughout the ranch. The country is big and open and the Elk have learned to stay where they can see a long way . While we did not fill tags we had an excellent experience at the Lewis ranch and plan on trying to get back next yr.

Reviewed by Guest on January 2024 The Lewis Ranch is great! Vic and his whole family were super helpful with intel - 50,000 acres is a lot of area for critters to hide. We saw hundreds of elk on the property including some bachelor bull herds - just so happened we booked the coldest weekend of the year at -50F, so that made things interesting. Everyone had a great time, the house is great and well stocked, and we're all planning our next outing. Hoping to get back out for antelope this year!
Reviewed by Guest on January 2024Vic and Augi are phenomenal hosts and have a spectacular property! The bunkhouse makes for a perfect basecamp and the property is full of wildlife. During my three days, I saw hundreds of antelope, some good groups of mule deer and elk using the property every day! Such a fun trip and I hope to return!

We are already planning on coming back next year. I would highly recommend the Lewis ranch for your next hunt or vacation.

We are so thankful for Vic, Augie and LandTrust for helping us with this cow elk hunt. It could not have gone better. We were able to go 4-4 on cow elk at the Lewis Ranch- all our first elk! Vic and Augie were amazing hosts that checked on us often and ensured we knew were to find the elk. The property has a lot of elk and prong horn. The accommodations were great- bunk house, the cleaning room and plenty of freezer space. The teepee rings, buffalo jump and old homesteads were very cool to explore after we had filled our tags. We recommend this hunt/ranch 100% and hope to return.

Sorry my reveiw took so long just back to the grind. As my trip last Dec this one also excededed expectations. Vic and his family were extremely inviting and helpful. My son came also too but didnt hunt. Seen lots of Antelope and lots of bucks.Made many stalks just coulnt close the deal. Hard to do with a bow in such open country.Their has been amply rain. There are many creeks and springs on ranch so water is readily present so pinning them down to a regular watering hole is tough. But still had an amazing time. Already making plans.Even to visit to see the Tepee rings and Buffuloe jump and surrunding area and be on a working cattle ranch is amazing. Thanks again Vic
Reviewed by Guest on September 2023 Vic and his family were fantastic hosts for our early December cow elk hunt. My group of 5 (3 hunters and 2 guests) had an awesome and successful trip. Even if we had not filled tags, the ranch was beautiful and there was tons of wildlife in all corners. I highly recommend the Lewis ranch to anyone.

Exceeded expectations: bird watching great, fishing great, buffalo jump great, tipi rings great. There are several interesting rock formations to explore. Saw sage grouse, curlews, rabbits, Hungarian partridge, waterfowl, and lots of antelope and mule deer. My son enjoyed the farm animals. Landowners are friendly and most helpful. Highly recommend experiencing Lewis Ranch.
Reviewed by Guest on May 2023Troy any his family would be welcome back any time. They came to fish and explore our place for a few days. They followed all the rules and were very respectful of our property. They left the house cleaner that when they arrived. Very nice people and fun to visit with.

Our hunt was very good. Good opportunities and great population. If you hunt hard and have some skills (shooting and hunting) you will be successful. Hunting elk on the flats is a challenge but exciting. I'll book again.

What a nice family. We stayed one night as a stop over in our camper enroute to the Cody area. We were checking the area for pronghorn and saw quite a few. We will return. Thanks again Vic for the hospitality. Kevin and Susan Smith

Vic was excellent to work with getting my visit setup. The fishing at the trout pond was incredible. Fat rainbows were aggressive and acrobatic at the end of my line. A real gem of a fishing spot in the middle of Montana.

We absolutely loved our stay at the ranch. This was our second time doing it. It is beautiful, remote, wild and peaceful. A complete Montana ranch experience, like I've hoped and imagined it to be. There are a few dogs and cats on the property and they are all so nice and come to say hi, which is so fun! Vic and his family are kind, accommodating, easy, communicative, and welcoming. We've gone to see the sage grouse lek on their property 2x now, and it is a 5 mile drive from the ranch cabin we spent the night in. It was so easy. We definitely plan on making this one of our annual places to stay to see this very special wildlife spectacle! The cabin itself is comfy, has a rustic feel, a huge kitchen with everything and cookware for large groups, the water in the bathroom is so nice and hot -- which is KEY after a windy morning with the grouse. We love being there. Thank you to Vic and his family for such great visits!
Reviewed by Guest on April 2022 What a great place! We had a great visit to the amazing Greater Sage Grouse lek not 5 minutes from the guest accommodations. Wildlife was plentiful: Pronghorn, Mule and White-tailed Deer, and other great birds. Other really cool sites on the ranch include a Buffalo Jump and original Teepee Rings!
