This package includes waterfowl hunting access to our 135-acre farm, which features prime riverfront access to the James River.
The Lies Farm is a farming operation located right on the James River. On our southern border, the river opens up into a reservoir of sorts, serving as a hotspot for waterfowl. In fact, its enough of a hotspot that our population of geese has become a bit of a nuisance!
Sportsmen can find ample cover along the river in the marshlands and reeds. I'm more than happy to allow groups to bring and set up their own ground blinds for the hunt. Groups may also have some luck setting up in our wheat and bean fields as well. We ask that you stay out of any standing crops until we harvest.
At this time, we'd ask folks looking for lodging to bring along an RV or take advantage of local options in Harvey (12 miles away) or nearby campgrounds.
This is an excellent and affordable little spot to jump ducks or set up a spread of decoys for geese. We look forward to hosting you and appreciate your help in managing our population of geese 😀!
