Property Features

40 Acres

Natural Forage and Meadows

Cowichie Creek Wildlife Corridor: Serves as a reliable, year-round water feature lined with dense riparian brush that acts as a natural game funnel and travel bottleneck. Native Woody Browse: Essential shrub species like bitterbrush, buckbrush, and elderberry provide vital, high-protein fall and winter feed for mule deer and elk as mountain grasses dry out. Grazing Pocket & Cover Mix: Open native bunchgrasses and forbs mixed into brushy bedding cover give wildlife an ideal feeding-to-bedding setup. Agricultural Transition Zone: The property serves as a preferred movement corridor between high-country timber cover and the agricultural fruit orchards down in the valley.

Springs and Creeks

Featuring a live, year-round branch of Cowiche Creek cutting through the property, this permanent water source serves as an essential magnet for local wildlife. Surrounded by thick riparian brush and native cover, the creek provides a vital drinking stop and natural travel corridor for mule deer, elk, and wild game year-round.

Hills, Woods, Shelter Belt, Grasslands, Brush, and Draws

The property’s varied terrain—ranging from rolling hills to natural draws—creates exceptional multi-layered shelter for local game. Deep draws chocked with dense brush provide cool thermal cover and hidden travel corridors, while pockets of dense woods offer high-security bedding sites. This mix of heavy cover and terrain relief keeps mule deer, elk, and wildlife feeling protected, holding game directly on the acreage rather than just passing through.

Property Rules
Campfires: Allowed • Firepit
Pets: Allowed on property • Well-behaved pets are welcome! To protect our wildlife, neighbor properties, and your pets on this raw 40-acre landscape, dogs must remain under strict voice command or physical leash control at all times and are never allowed to chase wildlife, roam off-property, or harass livestock. This is natural foothill terrain with dense brush, ticks, stickers, coyotes, and rattlesnakes present, so keep pets close and ensure they have current flea/tick protection. Please clean up and pack out all pet waste around the campsite, parking pad, and outhouse area. Pets must be kept quiet during quiet hours and may never be left unattended at the campsite, in tents, or inside vehicles when you leave the property.
ATV's: Not allowed
Drive-in Access: Yes: Drive-in access is via a shared private dirt road easement across neighboring land. Guests must stay strictly on the established roadbed at all times—do not pull off, block access, or drive onto surrounding private acreage before reaching our 40-acre boundary. Maintain a safe 15 mph speed limit to keep dust down, protect wildlife, and respect neighboring landowners. Site access accommodates up to a 30-foot trailer plus tow vehicle, with a dedicated back-in gravel pad at the campsite for easy setup. GPS can occasionally misroute on rural backroads, so please follow our detailed driving directions provided upon booking confirmation.
Walk-in Access: No
Vehicles: 4 Allowed • Maximum site capacity is set strictly to 4 vehicles total (including tow vehicles, trailers, and guest cars). All vehicles must fit comfortably and park exclusively within the designated campsite gravel pad—parking on dry grass, side shoulders, or blocking the private dirt road easement is strictly prohibited. To protect neighbor access and the surrounding landscape, off-road driving, joyriding, or operating unregistered ATVs/OHVs across the 40 acres or neighboring land is not permitted. All guest vehicles must be street-legal, driven only on established road paths, and operated at or below the 15 mph speed limit.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds are only available within 48 hours of the landowner accepting your booking request.

Bio

Welcome to the ridge! I’m a classically trained chef (graduated from culinary school in Seattle), a kinesiology degree holder, and a coach specializing in health, nutrition, and self-defense (eg. Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing). I bought these 40 acres in Cowichie, WA to build a sustainable permaculture food forest and live off-grid for the rest of my years.

I’m passionate about responsible land stewardship, working with nature, and sharing this unique piece of high-desert terrain with respectful hunters, campers, and outdoorsmen. Whether you're here for peak hunting season or a quiet getaway under the stars, I’m glad to host you on the property.
