We have two stands situated in the timber along our eastern boundary. We have good doe activity with the occasional buck. While this is not a trophy hunt, it's a great spot to sit in the stand with the chance to fill the freezer.

Deer will move onto our property to feed in our pivot, transiting back and forth from the nearby Middle Loup River and neighboring timber.
Our 150+ acres consist of classic Nebraska pivot ground. After we harvest our row crop, we plant cover crop, so the farm has plenty of food sources for the whitetail in our area and the pheasants we release.
The farm is located in Valley County, about a mile as the crow flies from the Middle Loup River. We are less than five minutes from the town of Arcadia and just over an hour from 1-80 access in Kearney or Grand Island.
We have two stands set up on the eastern edge of the farm in the timber. Apart from that, we don't much else for tree cover. Bowhunters should expect to hunt from the stand for the best chances of getting a doe or the occasional buck.
