McCormick Acres offers seasonal opportunities for foraging, with mushrooms, wild berries, and native herbs often found along the edges of the fields and woods. With regenerative practices in mind, guests are encouraged to harvest responsibly while learning about the plants that naturally thrive in this northern Pennsylvania landscape.
The berries go out of season towards the end of summer, but we do have a pear tree and some apple trees on the property too. They are up by the house and easily accessible.

The landscape supports more than just scenery. From field to riverbank, the farm is alive with birdsong, flowing water, and natural discovery. Visitors are welcome to pitch a tent or bring a small pull-behind camper, making it an ideal basecamp for adventures into the surrounding wilds. You're just 15 minutes from public hunting grounds and 30 minutes from the hiking trails and overlooks of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.
