THERE IS NO SHOULDER SEASON IN 335. Elk hunting for up to two sportsmen (up to six guests with a limit of two shooters or harvests per day).
As many as 200 elk frequent this property and provide a phenomenal archery experience with several bulls to hunt. This is a general tag area with most bulls being 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 years old with occasional older 300\"+ bulls.
Opportunities for bulls in rifle season peak on opening day and tend to progressively decline as the season goes on, since the bulls tend to leave this area after the rut. Cow hunting is generally successful throughout the season, with elk herds present on average every 2-3 days. Cow tags are draw only, and elk b tags from the later drawing are a great backup plan if you can't find bulls.
Please consult regulations for legal harvests!
Additional packages can be accommodated. Please inquire for more information.
Our family ranch is a private oasis with a small creek running through it, with several open fields and meadows, and both scattered and dense timber for cover. The ranch is divided into 4 pastures, which are utilized for cattle grazing (from mid-May til late September or early October). This can affect the hunting when they are present.
There are many houses in the area and bordering the ranch, so we ask that you are mindful of your target and beyond and that you don't shoot game that is on the ranch's outer fenceline. Our ranch also borders thousands of acres of public land to hunt when game isn't found on the ranch. Landowner will be around to offer tips and guidance on your hunt, and can assist with game retrieval.
There is no lodging, but power for a camper could be arranged, and there are plenty of spots to camp.
