One of the largest concentrations of elk winter on this property. Late fall after the crops are taken out, the elk migrate to the hay meadows and canyons of NV Land & Cattle. Seen (not hunted) on the northern end of the property this year was a 7x7 that scored at least 385. 

The NV Land & Cattle Niobrara River Ranch offers all the types of terrain you can find in Nebraska in an uber-private area/setting. Meandering spring-fed creeks run through the canyons, the Niobrara River borders over a 1/4 mile of the property, hay meadows that are planted w/ alfalfa every other year and managed food plots strategically placed in coves, and deep drop-off canyons border the meadows on 3 sides. Big resident whitetail and Elk make their way up from the canyons to the meadows. 

The lodge is superbly situated on a plateau overlooking the Niobrara River. The very comfortable log structure with three ensuite rooms (each uniquely decorated in keeping with local art and wildlife) a huge open-plan dining area and two superb livingrooms w/ fireplaces. Food will be provided by a certified chef sourcing food from the local area, including wild game, the ranches own beef and locally grown fruits and vegetables.
