O'Hare Ranch
The O'Hare Ranch is a 5th-generation Angus and Angus-Hereford operation proudly headquartered in Johnstown, Nebraska. Our 3,100 acres consist of irrigated cropland with upland sandhills habitat. The property also features nearly 4,400 acres of Nebraska State Lands for a total huntable acreage of 7,500 acres.
Due to drought conditions this year, we will not be offering waterfowl hunts at this time.
The original ranch was homesteaded by Jeremy's great-great-grandparents in the 1880’s. Through the 1930’s depression Jeremy's great-grandmother, Goldie, saved the ranch by raising turkeys and selling them in the Eastern US. Through the years Jeremy's grandfather and family added the farming part of the operation in the 1960’s. Jeremy's father and uncle then took on their roles in the operation during the late 70’s.
The cattle side continued to be a traditional cow/calf ranch until the replacement heifer program was added in the early 90’s. The program has expanded and the operation is now mainly focused on heifer development. The O’Hare Ranch has grown with a reputation for high-quality replacement heifers, not only with surrounding ranchers but in many states across the country.
We look forward to hosting you on your next hunt!
At this time, no lodging or camping is available on the property; however, local lodging, restaurants, and grocery stores are all available less than 14 miles away in Ainsworth.

Jeremy mentioned seeing quite a few grouse on property. Hopeful that waterfowl population will return this winter. I think if water sticks around this property would make a great place to try and limit out on ducks or geese.
