Peaceful Valley Overlook
Located in the heart of Nebraska’s Wildcat Hills, Peaceful Valley Overlook offers sportsmen exclusive access to 985 acres of prime deer ground just south of Scottsbluff. Our property is part of the Upper Platte Unit for deer and is available for the full 9-day firearm season as well as late-season archery and muzzleloader hunts. We've leased the property for years, and past hunters have harvested some great bucks!
The terrain is typical for this part of Nebraska: steep bluffs, ponderosa pines, yucca plants, sage brush, and timbered draws. The property features two prominent draws/canyons, with smaller drainages that branch off between the many bluffs and buttes. Towards the southwest corner of the acreage, the property opens up into tablelands. This high ground has yielded some solid success over the years.
Hunters will be able to take advantage of the elevation changes across the property and the natural funnels created by the draws. Ridgelines on the bluffs are a great spot for glassing. Hunters will have the option to put a stalk on in the draws or set up on the tablelands.
We're only about 10-15 minutes from Gering/Scottsbluff, but the property still has a remote feel! Topography can be challenging, so hunters should have a good pair of boots. The property has limited access for vehicles via ranch roads.
