Central ND Pheasant Huntat Pheasant Base Camp
Hunt pheasants in Central North Dakota's Burleigh County.
The pheasants will use the brushy edges, slough grasses, and adjacent ag fields to feed and shelter, especially during the early morning and late afternoon. The farm’s layout gives upland hunters and their dogs the opportunity to work the field edges and tall grasses. The blend of wheat stubble, native pasture, and dense wetland vegetation is solid for the pheasants.
Bird dogs are recommended.
Our 160 acres is made up of 90 acres of tillable ground, about 18 acres of slough, and the rest in native grasses, creating a productive mix of food and cover for birds. The surrounding landscape of pasture and brush, especially the thick cattail edges around the slough, provides excellent natural shelter for wildlife. We also have a livestock dam that forms a small reservoir, which is a year-round water source.
Tent and overland/mobile truck camping is permitted.

I was raised In Colorado hunting elk and deer, after moving to North Dakota I found that bird hunting fit my lifestyle of farming and trucking better. I now chase birds every chance I get.
