Platte River Toms
Rugged, thick river bottom farm on Platte River in central Nebraska. 105 private extremely isolated acres that require nearly a mile drive down a no outlet road, that continues as a two track trail passing through multiple gates. You will arrive at "The Line Shack", a Modern rustic-style Cabin that accommodates 4-6 people, with full kitchen, bathroom, shower, TV & fireplace.
Outside the cabin, you enter into a very diverse property, that includes mixture of elevated ridges, traditional swamp ground and river frontage access. Mixture of Hardwood trees & evergreens blanket and surround the nearly 8 acres of food plots on this beautiful farm.
Painstaking work has been completed to provide incredible walking and ATV access to most of property.

Right when I pulled up to the property I saw a bunch of Toms strutting around with hens.

5.0Birds were still plentiful, property looked great, and saw quite a few deer moving around. Such a great property to explore with easy accessibility to parking and the Platte River.
Reviewed by Guest on May 2024This property is beautiful - a picturesque Platte River spot. From south to north the place looks manicured for turkeys, deer, and easy access to the Platte for waterfowl. While I didn't stay at the cabin, it looks ideal for longer reservations or groups. The birds sounded off before daylight and gave me the slip twice as I worked them throughout the property, although a couple of the hens enjoyed my decoys. From the early morning sounds the bird populations seemed healthy and looked like Rios - always a treat to find a different subspecies as you work across Nebraska. Steve was incredibly kind in explaining the property, access points, and ideal locations for the birds! Overall, a spectacular property with plenty of opportunities.
