Sitting on over 2 miles of the Belle Fourche River, our River Valley Ranch property just outside of Sundance, Wyoming, offers 2,760 acres of scenic terrain that is PERFECT for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore Crook County. 

The fishing is great. We have catfish, bluegill, bass, and carp!

The landscape is a patchwork of hay meadows, timbered river bottoms, and rugged coulees that invite everything from horseback rides (bring your own horse) and hikes to photography and birdwatching. 

With 500 acres of hay fields interspersed with native grasses and brushy shelter, the area supports a wide range of wildlife, making it a standout destination for photographers and birders alike.

Multiple water features, including the perennial Belle Fourche River, small reservoirs, and livestock tanks, create lush ribbons of life that attract deer, turkey, upland birds, and small mammals. These natural resources, combined with the elevation changes across the breaks and coulees, offer stunning backdrops for landscape photography and peaceful exploration. 

Mountain/gravel bikers and hikers will appreciate the open routes and visual variety, while those with binoculars or a camera in hand will find no shortage of subject matter. 

Camping and RV access are available for overnight stays on the ranch.

Whether you're watching mule deer move through the draws or capturing the early morning light on the river, River Valley Ranch is a recreation dream!
