S & J Farms North | Cty Rd N
This property has been a continued work in progress since 2017. Just shy of 60 total acres, just over 1 mile of ridge top access wood line & 250+ feet of elevation changes and being connected to the big woods of Buffalo County's driftless area. There has been an extensive amount of strategic TSI done to this property that has created the perfect nasty thick habitat and new regeneration browse whitetails and really promote and stimulate daytime movement. Now offering 3 – 20’ ladder stands, 3 – 3’ elevated platform ground blinds, 1 – 5’ elevated tower blind and 2 – 10’ elevated tower blinds, 3+ acres of food plots, and years of daytime buck movement tracking to offer the best opportunity at harvesting your trophy whitetail if you can outwit these majestic creatures.
Historically, our hunters have had a 90% chance of having a shot opportunity on a buck, in large part due to our strict management practices and ideal stand/blind locations!
Our goal is minimized pressure to keep deer from going nocturnal and allow for maximum possibilities of daylight movement. If you wish to have more time additional days can be added for additional cost per day, please inquire if interested.
A Note on Hunting Wisconsin's Renowned Buffalo County:
Buffalo County has established itself as one of the premier counties in all of Wisconsin-and America-for whitetail deer, ranked by Boone & Crocket as the top county in the US for trophy whitetails. Rarely does a DIY opportunity like this come around in our county. We ask that you help us in our stewardship and management of the farm and its wildlife, so that we can continue to grow the caliber of deer that our county is renowned for. With that, we ask that you harvest a buck that is 4+ years old and scores 130” or better.

My expectations were certainly met and exceeded. John was extremely helpful and it’s obvious he has taken the management of the property very seriously. Saw deer on every sit and came very close to harvesting a mature whitetail buck. Will definitely be back!

Brought my son here for youth hunt and enjoyed our trip. John was very helpful and you can see he has put lots of time into his property for deer. Thanks John!
Reviewed by Guest on October 2024Ryan and his son Cal were great guests to have. They are true die-hard hunters. The conditions for the one day they were here were far from favorable with high winds and unseasonably hot temperatures for October reaching the 80's and the deer were just not cooperating and laying low. Despite not having success they understand that is hunting and just truly enjoy being in the outdoors.

John was very welcoming and helpful. All stands were in high traffic areas and well cared for. Weather did not cooperate but that is hunting. Would love to hunt this property again.
Reviewed by Guest on January 2024Kyle is a very respectful and dedicated outdoorsman. He chose to come out during the last days of the season and all though the deer did not cooperate as we hoped he left with his head high and in good spirits fully aware of what hunting truly is. I'd welcome him back again anytime.

John’s property was a joy to hunt, it is well cared for and is set up excellent for quality whitetail hunting. Although I wasn’t able to harvest the mature whitetail I was searching for I still enjoyed the property and saw many animals each day.
Reviewed by Guest on December 2023 Had a great trip. John is an excellent host. He spent time with me before the trip answering any questions I had and explaining his property well to set me up for success. He provided me with all the intel he could. He checked in on me daily and went out of his way to keep me updated with deer activity on the property while I was there. The property itself is meticulously cared for and holds an immense amount of wildlife. While I wasn’t able to harvest a buck in my trip, I saw deer every single sit just not the right one. On multiple occasions I had 10+ deer in range. I would absolutely recommend this property.
