S & J Farms South | Waumandee Creek
This is a newly acquired property located between Highway 35 and Waumandee Creek Road that provides all the diversity needed to produce trophy whitetails and only one short season of running trail cameras shows this. The western half of this property is on higher rolling ground broken up with a mix of some old growth pine plantations and hardwoods with ag fields continuing to the west. The eastern portion is a hardlined 30-40’ elevation drop of hillside of mixed hardwoods down to a grassy lowland with pockets of mixed hardwoods that the Waumandee Creek flows through. When the hard winter of Wisconsin sets in most of the deer head out for the hills to seek better cover from the harsh changing winds but this property appears to be a playground for them summer and throughout the hunting season bedding out in the open story lowland during the day and coming up to the ag in the evenings.
Historically, our hunters have had a 90% chance of having a shot opportunity on a buck, in large part due to our strict management practices and ideal stand/blind locations!
Our goal is minimized pressure to keep deer from going nocturnal and allow for maximum possibilities of daylight movement. If you wish to have more time additional days can be added for additional cost per day, please inquire if interested.

A Note on Hunting Wisconsin's Renowned Buffalo County:
Buffalo County has established itself as one of the premier counties in all of Wisconsin-and America-for whitetail deer, ranked by Boone & Crocket as the top county in the US for trophy whitetails. Rarely does a DIY opportunity like this come around in our county. We ask that you help us in our stewardship and management of the farm and its wildlife, so that we can continue to grow the caliber of deer that our county is renowned for. With that, we ask that you harvest a buck that is 4+ years old and scores 130” or better.
