Sacramento River Ranch
Butte City, California, United States
200 Acres
Hunt Whitetail, Turkey, & Coyote here in the Sacramento Valley!
We are located in Glenn County, about an hour and fifteen minutes north of Sacramento and 30 minutes off I-5. Our approximately 200-acre property is part of a fourth-generation family farming operation rooted in California’s Sacramento Valley, where tree nut orchards and river-bottom habitat come together to create a productive hunting ground. With nearly a mile of the Sacramento River forming its western boundary and the adjacent Sacramento River Wildlife Area, the ranch benefits from its prime location and habitat.
The landscape is made up of orchard rows and thick brush, creating a mix of visibility and cover that supports multiple species. Tree nuts and natural forage provide consistent food, while the river and gravel bar act as a major travel corridor and water source throughout the year. Wildlife moves between the refuge, river bottom, and agricultural ground, offering hunters opportunities to catch animals transitioning through the property. Access is simple with a single entry point leading to a designated parking area near the trees.
In addition to hunting, the Sacramento River opens the door to quality fishing, with opportunities for striped bass, smallmouth bass, sturgeon, and seasonal salmon. Camping and RV use may be available depending on the time of year, making it possible to extend your stay and enjoy both the hunting and river access our property provides.
