~ Historic West Texas Hunting on the Pecos ~

This land’s been in our family since the late 1800s. The ranch covers 1,620 acres out here in Val Verde County, right along the Pecos River. It’s rough country: desert bluffs, open pastures, and steep river breaks, but it’s the kind of place where wildlife thrives and hunters find what they’re after.

The ranch is located less than a mile from the Mexico border, the Rio Grande River. Property is about 45 minutes from Del Rio.

We offer guided hunts for javelina and predators, walk-and-stalk or safari-style. I guide every hunt myself, so you’ll get someone who knows the property and the wildlife. Javelina like the open country and forage-heavy draws, while coyotes and bobcats work the bluffs and shaded cuts. With river access and natural reservoirs, there’s plenty of water.

One thing that makes this place a little different: my wife’s grandparents donated 60 acres to the Shumla organization, which studies and preserves the ancient Native American rock art found in this region. They still do research on that part of the land, but it doesn’t get in the way of hunting. In fact, it just adds another layer to what makes this property special. When you’re out here, you’re not just hunting, you’re walking through history.
