Our family's west property is our homestead about 30 minutes outside of Billings. This is a great spot for mule deer, antelope, upland bird, and Merriam's turkeys. We ranch on just over 2,790 acres just a few minutes drive from the Pompeys Pillar area and Interstate 94. 

About our Family

We are newer to Eastern Montana as our family made the difficult decision to leave our family ranch in northcentral Montana, just north of Great Falls, where our family had lived and ranched for just over 98 years. Now, we are proud to call this area home after the learning curves that come with moving to and ranching in a different region of the Big Sky State.

This year, we are pleased to be offering hunting and recreation access to our 2,700+ acres. We are looking forward to sharing our land with respectful sportsmen and recreators. Property Visited

During my visit, I observed terrain that is conducive for antelope and mule deer, I saw several muley does in one of the draws. I observed wide open grasslands and grazing pastures with cuts and coulees. I also saw that Trent has a nice setup of pivots and ag plots closer to the house and highway, which are hotspots for pheasants.

    This is a nice, well maintained property with a good population of pheasants along the creek and irrigated acres. We were successful and enjoyed ourselves. We didn’t try the upper grasslands for Huns or sharptail grouse but it looked like good habitat for both. Trent is friendly helpful host, very accessible and appropriately attentive. We saw a variety of big game as well.

    Trent was great, told us what we needed to know and let us do our thing. Only booking 3 days and hot weather shortened our field time so there was more ranch to be explored but we found what we were after. Look forward to another trip Trent’s way.
