Stone Creek Ridge
This property is one-of-a-kind for hunters looking for a premium hunting spot in Ohio. It is small, but it is a gold mine!
Situated in a prime location, this land offers an incredible pinch point where deer naturally travel, making it an ideal spot for hunters who want consistent activity. With lush green foliage, a well-maintained food plot featuring a sorghum screen, and natural travel corridors for deer, the layout encourages deer to move toward strategic locations within the property. This design not only increases deer sightings but also pushes them toward points where shot opportunities are presented.
The setup of two strategically placed ground blinds adds secluded access to deer hunters. The blinds are accessible via routes that minimize disturbance to the wildlife, allowing hunters to easily enter and exit with stealth, ensuring that deer remain unaware of human presence.
A deer feeder is located in the middle of the plot, near the winter pea and sugar beet food plot. 1,000 lbs of whole corn has been dispersed across the ground to allow more deer the freedom to browse without any dominant deer forcing the smaller ones away. Just up the hill from the deer feeder is a mineral site with Lucky Buck mineral and Trophy Rock.
This property is an absolute gem as you will experience when you hunt. It is small, but the chances of success are incredibly high! You just need to wait for the right animal to show up. It has been predictable during the early season, but from the end of October and into the first 2 weeks in November, you never know what giant will pass through at any time of the day. It has been wild the past two years we've owned the property. Until now, it has solely been me and my young family on the property so all the photos you will see were taken on or very near this property.
You may see wildlife from wild turkeys, deer, fox, coyotes, bobcats, groundhogs, raccoons, possums, chipmunks, squirrels, and a large variety of birds!
You will notice the approach I've taken in the hunting setup, is one that focuses on low impact and small footprint. Since the property is small, I've taken the steps necessary to minimize any impact on normal wildlife activity.

As a young married man with three beautiful children, my passion for the outdoors has been a lifelong affair. This love for nature and a slower pace of life fuels my desire to share with others the experiences I've enjoyed.
Observing animals and birds as they go about their existence is life-affirming and captivates me. I enjoy shooting guns, riding four-wheelers, camping, and striving towards self-sufficiency in life's basic needs.
Its always a joy when i can take a young person hunting and help them tag their first animal!
