Our family is excited to welcome you to the T Lazy T Ranch!
We are proud to be a 3rd-Generation Family cow/calf operation based here in Central Montana's Judith Basin County. In addition to running cattle, we also do some haying and other farming.
Our ranch is located in a very scenic part of the Judith Basin with the Little Belts to the southwest and the Big Snowy Mountains farther to the southeast. A stretch of the Judith River runs through our pasture and irrigated hay ground, to make for a lush haven for wildlife in our area. The Ackley Lake Feeder Canal, a hotspot for waterfowl, also runs through the ranch.
We're excited to host respectful sportsmen and appreciative outdoor enthusiasts. Opportunities for whitetail, waterfowl, pheasant, and ground squirrels will be open this Fall! Our hunting and outdoor recreation packages are set up with per-person, per-day prices. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send us an inquiry.

Available Packages
During my visit with Garth I spooked up a couple groups of whitetail while exploring the property and saw lots of sign along the river. It wasn't possible to keep track of how many ducks I flushed up along the canal.

Garth is a great guy. His property is beautiful and has a lot of potential. Our hunt was hamstrung with 80 degree weather and it was just too early in the waterfowl season for the migrations. I will be back.

We were there for Upland Birds, saw a lot of Sharpies but just a few Pheasant. Would have quite a few in the bag had my brothers-in-law would been better shots! Had it been deer season this is the place, never have seen that many Whitetails in a day. Also a lot of waterfowl on all the water sources. Garth, the owner of the ranch, was really interested in us have a good time and responded to any of our inquires. I am really thankful for ranchers like Garth and his family willing to share their properties with strangers.

This property was definitely magical & allowed the perfect terrain for hunting whitetail with the Judith river flowing through. Without the pressure of public land, I was able to take my time, truly enjoy the experience & fill my tags. Garth was excellent to communicate with. This was my first time using Landtrust & I’ll never go back!!

Meeting Garth and hunting his property was a fantastic experience. Garth was great about answering questions throughout the entire process and I enjoyed the opportunity. The Whitetail Deer population was very good and we glassed several good bucks during the day. I was fortunate enough to harvest a nice buck at the end of the first day. There were birds everywhere, upland game and waterfowl. The river bottom provided perfect deer habitat and the pivots and pastures great bird cover. The ranch is a cool place and T Lazy T is on my list to hunt again. Thank you.

Landowner was very helpful. Property is big but easily accessible. Duck population was high. Found sharp tailed grouse and huns in the grass. Pheasants near river. Wish I bought a rifle because there are many Whitetailed deer on property!

I had a fantastic day hunting this property! It's a gem! It's beautiful and chock full of game. Garth is a super host. He is very responsive and helpful. I think he genuinely wants the people hunting his property to be successful. If he will have me back, I'll be back for sure.

I grew up hunting for whitetail deer with my dad along the Judith River and for elk in the Little Belt Mountains. Those moments I spent with him are times that I'll treasure forever. Now that I am a dad, I want to be able to offer a great place to hunt, so that others can make their own great memories. I think our place has something magical about it and I think you will too.
