Reservation for Ranch Beefat Tantrum Farms
***For guests interested in taking home some of our beef:
Processing information: We will be processing in June of this year. We only finish and process once a year and it’s usually around that time. We finish on oats and barley (no corn). We build a list of names for the year and depending on how many animals we have to finish when they are spoken for they spoken for. We sell halves and wholes. We weigh animals before taking them to the processor and charge 2.75/lb on the hoof (live weight). We finish animals to 1400-1600# typically. And then the cost of processing is separate and paid to the processor at pickup. We will probably be processing in big timber this year at pioneer meats. After we take the animals in, each individual will be able to call pioneer meats and give them their cut preferences. I can share a copy of our cut sheet with anyone interested.
Price will vary.

We are Clint, Corinne, Everett, and Scarlett Hammond. We are members of the 5th and 6th generations on this ranch. We run the ranching and farming operation here, are passionate about agriculture and passionate about sharing the lifestyle with others. We have a cow/calf operation and we farm wheat, barley, oats and hay.
You may have wondered about our name; Tantrum Farms. The story goes something like this; we were happily living in our home a few miles from the family ranch. We had built it from scratch slowly finishing everything just how we liked; planting over 300 trees, putting up a large shop, and paying it all off! Then a neighbor put this place up for sale. It is surrounded on three sides by the family ranch and much closer to ranch headquarters. A developer was also interested in purchasing it if we weren't!
After a tumultuous private treaty buy/sell negotiation and biting off more than we could chew we were the proud owners of 2 unlivable houses, 50 years of hoarders garbage, a mess of overgrowth, and broken down outbuildings. So we sold our house and moved in. I (Corinne) may have cried a bit over the loss of my pretty house because this new place was BAD.
Just 18 months later, after 2 major renovations, weekly loads of trash, dirt excavations, floods, septic tank collapse, buildings blowing over, building a third house, and copious amounts of blood, sweat, and tears, we were starting to have vision for this place but we needed a name. After brainstorming for months and each one being vetoed I sarcastically said, "How about we call it Tantrum Farms in honor of all the tears I cried when we moved here!?" My husband (Clint) loved it! I tried to protest. It stuck. Clint loves to tell people he named our ranch after me. Not many girls get that kind of opportunity so I'm taking it!
Now 6 years later we still have many more projects in the wings and clean up to do. If you would like to follow more of our story we are on Instagram: @corinnehammond06
