Traphagan Ranch
Tucked into the rolling grasslands of Eastern Wyoming's Niobrara County, Traphagan Ranch offers 2,700 contiguous acres of wide-open country about 50 minutes from Lusk. Our family's working cattle operation is a remote hunting destination with live water sources, big skies, and vast landscapes.
The terrain is made up of rolling hills, draws, and open plains. Mule deer and antelope are the main attraction here at the ranch, with healthy populations moving through our open country.
A popup blind near the ranch's water sources is a great strategy, especially for bowhunters; although, there can be some spot and stalk potential in the winding creekbottom. The open terrain also makes this a solid rifle spot. Good optics are highly recommended.
Coyotes are ever-present, and there’s the occasional elk sighting for those who are in the right place at the right time.
Hunters can bring their camper and plug in using the available water and electric hookups, or set up a dry camp just about anywhere on the property. ATV, dirt bike, and mountain bike access are welcome, offering flexibility when navigating the ranch.
The ranch is located just over an hour from interstate access to I-25 via US Highway 18.
