We look forward to sharing our piece of private Kansas with you!
The corn adjacent to the creek bottoms looked amazing this year. The grass in the ungrazed areas was 1-2ft tall and with the well maintained timber, this property is extremely huntable. You can walk right out the back door of the house and be hunting turkeys and deer.

Had a great time. Maureen and family were most accommodating. They were eager to help me have a successful bird hunt. I also took advantage of their lodging opportunity which was very pleasant and convenient.Reviewed by Guest on January 2023
Kenny was another great Landtrust find. Respectful of property, courteous, and enjoyable. He and his four-legged friend were great hunters and visitors. We hope to see them again. Nice to have people who enjoy hunting and wide open spaces.Reviewed by Landowner on January 2023

Maureen and her family were super nice folks. I met them first thing in the morning and her husband helped get us lined out for our hunt. Their son Justin was a big help when we needed direction. Bird numbers are down but we still managed to find a few birds and have a great weekend. There’s nothing like spending time with family and friends and watching my dog do what he loves to do. Thank you again to Maureen and her family for opening up their farm for others to enjoy.Reviewed by Guest on November 2022

Maureen and Jay were very gracious hosts. The land was perfect for our hunt. Couldn't have been more pleased.Reviewed by Guest on January 2023
Landtrust has introduced us to another group of courteous, friendly, conscientious guests. They left things so nice. We only wish the bird populations were significant this year, but they did not complain. I hope to see them again.Reviewed by Landowner on January 2023
I sure enjoyed hunting at Walnut Creek Encounters. Large mature Bucks get harvested in this area yearly. Heat and drought made the early season hunt pretty challenging this year in Kansas. Jay and Maureen are easy to deal with and are sure nice folks. Their farm contains a lot of cover, as well as AG fields.Reviewed by Guest on September 2022
We were very fortunate to have David as our guest. He was very courteous and respectful of our property. We enjoyed visiting with him and did not complain about the awful dry conditions that non of us had control over. We hope he will return when the Kansas weather is more favorable.Reviewed by Landowner on September 2022
