Wildlife on the Bluegrass Ranch
Wildlife on the Bluegrass Ranch is located in southeastern West Virginia's Greenbrier County. Located less than 10 minutes from interstate access to I-64 and less than 30 minutes from the WV-VA border, this property offers 45 acres of hardwoods, brushy creek bottoms, and a field that has cycled through corn over the years. Guests can enjoy the rare opportunity to hunt this land that has been in the our family for four generations and untouched by outsiders for over 40 years.
If you take a look at our aerial image, the property is made up of about 15% cropland and 85% rolling timber. The Sinking Creek runs along the eastern edge of the property, providing a solid water source for hunters and fisherman alike.
Whitetail deer has been what our family has hunted over the years. The deer move consistently through our timber and field edges, using the creek bottom for cover and feeding on natural forage and corn fields. The property is located in the Greenbrier SOUTH area for deer.
Eastern Turkeys are abundant, working the open ground in the mornings and retreating to the woods as the day warms. Black bears can be found in the woods, while bobcats and rabbits can also be found deep in the forest as well.
For those looking to hunt during rifle season, a three-day package is available for $500 per person, with a limit of two hunters per trip. The first week of rifle deer season is reserved, but beyond that, the land is open for a select few to experience a truly exclusive hunt. Additionally, anglers can take advantage of Sinking Creek’s trout fishing.
