The Dodson family has been managing the X Bar Ranch for absentee owners since 1989. We are not only passionate about cultivating an autonomous cowherd but have dedicated our career toward the betterment of all life on the ranch. We care deeply about the health of the land from the rangeland to the wildlife that exist on the X Bar Ranch. We believe there’s a healthy balance between what is good for the cowherd and what is good for the land and we work diligently to find that balance.
We spend much of our free time hunting and enjoying shooting sports. From deer down to doves, we’ve hunted all that the Sandhills have to offer. We are also strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment and believe strongly in the right to keep and bear arms – we LOVE to talk guns!
