La Dolce Vita Ranch is made up of mountains, valleys, ponds, heavily treed peaks with open vistas, and proximity to the Pike National Forrest. The property offers a healthy habitat to wildlife thanks to the plenty of shelter, sources of water, and natural forage.
We see muleys or their fresh tracks a good amount. The 4 bucks in our photo were hanging out right on the side of our driveway in early November, for example. There is tons of regular movement here all through the season because of all the springs and livestock tanks on our property. We’re a stone’s throw from the National Forest, so when there’s hunting pressure there, all the elk and deer come down onto the ranch.
Deer are more present earlier in the season and then tend to move lower. My husband is a good tracker and keeps an eye on their patterns. Plus we have lots of springs, ponds, and livestock tanks, so they come and drink here and sometimes even bed down on our ranch at night.

RV and tent camping access is available. If you decide to stay off-property, Pike National Forest is only 15 minutes away and holds campgrounds on its 1,100,000+ acres. Our ranch is also located just 68 miles west of Colorado Springs.

Colorado Unit 58 Muley Buck Hunt - Healthy Habitat w/ Cabin

Tucked into the rugged backcountry of Fremont County, Lazy H Ranch offers approximately 500 acres of exclusive hunting access with adjacent access to over 14,000 acres of State Land and BLM lands.
Year Lease is set to $38,000. Up to 10 guests permitted in a group.
Guaranteed 1 tag- could get up to 4. Unit-wide tag. Depends on what is drawn.
Located just an hour west of Salida and roughly three hours from Denver, this Colorado GMU 58 property is a remote but reachable basecamp for hunters looking to get after it in the Southern Rockies.
A small off-grid cabin sits at the edge of the property, offering basic shelter and an unmatched starting point for days spent tracking elk through timber or glassing for mule deer along the ridgelines.
The ranch terrain is very open with rolling hills. Cover is very limited until you get into the Public Ground, which is thick timber, piney ridges, and steep draws. The surrounding public land opens up nearly limitless backcountry-style hunts without the pressure of crowded trailheads.
