Hunt ducks and geese at the Lone Star!&nbsp;
We are located in the Central Flyway Southeast Zone for ducks and the Central Flyway Zone for geese.
Hunting is solid along the Huerfano River, where waterfowl hunters can bring out a mobile layout blind or hide in the brushy cover near the water.

Self-guided goose hunting is available for Canadien and Snow Geese during winter months. Decoys and drive-in access are permitted on property.&nbsp;
Thousands of geese feed on our corn, milo, and winter wheat fields on the farm which is less than 3 miles from John Martin Reservoir, a major roosting area for waterfowl in Southeastern Colorado.
Geese usually begin arriving in November and stay through the late winter to feed on farm fields.
Irrigation ponds provide 5 acres of surface area during the winter months while two natural arroyos provide year-round water during most years.

Goose Hunt

Goose hunters are invited to the farm for a day of DIY hunting. Mobile layout blinds are permitted if you have any you want to bring out during your hunt. In the future, we may add some form of pit blinds that will be made available to hunters.&nbsp;
The farms is located in the Central Flyway Zone for goose hunters, and the Central Flyway Northeast Zone for ducks.
