The Cottonwood Grove Farm is a 907-acre family farming operation proudly located in Kensal, North Dakota.
Our little piece of Stutsman County is part of North Dakota's Prairie Pothole Region and is also part of the Central Flyway, which is a major migration route for waterfowl.
Calling all Waterfowl Hunters!
The farm has been home to excellent waterfowl hunting in years past due in part to our abundant population, which is always a plus, and the farm's habitat. Our property has several acres of lakefront access in addition to wetlands and other marshy areas. Our croplands make for great food sources as well.
We are also excited to be offering archery and rifle whitetail hunts. The farm's habitat also features rolling hills, grasslands, and shelter belts.
While the farm doesn't have lodging available, guests are welcome to make the short drive from Jamestown and Interstate 94, which are just over 20 miles away.

This property has a rich waterfowl population with plenty of habitat. Whitetails also move in and out of the property going to and from the 15,000 acres of wildlife refuge across the road.

Karsten’s farm was great for my brother and I. Even though the geese weren’t really down yet we did great on some mallards. Had a great time.
