Cullom Ranch
The Timmerman Land & Cattle LLC is a third generation ranching operation that can be traced back to 1945. Leo Timmerman founded Timmerman & Sons Feeding Company who started the family tradition. Beginning in the early 1960s Leo's sons, Gerald, James, Norman and Ronnie, had plans to expand into ranching. In the mid-1970s the sons purchased their first ranch in the South Dakota Sandhills and grew their ranching business into five states and are still going strong today.
The Timmerman family implements the protection of land, water and wildlife, which will ensure conservation for future generations. With this philosophy on protecting the environment, it makes our ranches an ideal place to hunt for world class wild game.
The Cullom Ranch features almost 10,000 acres of land split across the western part of the Nebraska and South Dakota state line. There are numerous ponds and lakes scattered throughout the property, however, the prime habitat area is about a quarter mile east of the house. This features a marsh that hosts an abundance of wildlife such as grouse, pheasants, ducks, geese, swans, pelicans and gophers. Just about anything that’s in Nebraska can be found in this marsh, although the deer population is not as strong as it once was. On the very rare occasion, you can see an elk passing through.
Other than the wetland, the property is mostly hilly grasslands with very little timber. There are two large lakes that are 100 acres each. The lakes boast the most diverse bird population in the state of Nebraska!
Located just 10 miles outside of Cody, NE, there is the opportunity to book lodging through one of our contacts. Please inquire as soon as possible if this is something you would be interested in. Otherwise, we can accommodate an RV hookup or point you to the McClarn Ranch, about 25 miles from Cullom Ranch. The McClarn Ranch can host at least six people.
We look forward to having your hunting party at our ranch!
Sincerely,
The Timmerman Family
