The Diamond Bar Ranch is a 5th-generation commercial cow/calf operation proudly located in the Sandhills of Nebraska. The ranch also raises draft and quarter horses.

Since its founding in 1901, family values, tradition, and stewardship have been at the forefront of the Diamond Bar mission. These pillars have enabled the ranch to thrive from generation to generation.

The Diamond Bar Ranch places a significant emphasis on proper animal handling to reduce stress and produce a quality product from our pasture to the consumer's plate. Whether it's moving cattle on horses, which is a huge stress-reducer for the cattle, or planting shelterbelts for the herd, the ranch's care for its cattle motivates every facet of the operation.

This care is evident in the ranch's Beef Quality Assurance Certification, earned through the ranch's commitment to quality in every step of its beef production process.

Conservation is also an integral part of the ranch's management practices. The Diamond Bar Ranch stewards the land's natural resources well. The ranch implements a practice of rotational grazing, which has enabled them to dramatically increase its carrying capacity by over 40%, while still operating on the same amount of acreage from its inception. The ranch was also recognized for planting over 31,000 trees since 2000, achieving the title of 2021 Tree Planter of the Year from Nebraska’s Natural Resources Districts.

We look forward to sharing our treasured piece of the Nebraska Sandhills with you!

Lodging is available in our ranch house, which can comfortably accommodate 2-4 guests. Guests are also welcome to use the free campground in Stapleton, which is just 3 miles away from the ranch. North Platte is also just a 30-minute drive away, which has local lodging options.

Bio

Hello! My name is Natalie Jones and I am a lifelong rancher and fifth generation on the Diamond Bar Ranch. The Diamond Bar Ranch has been family owned and operated since 1901 and and has one of the oldest registered brands in Nebraska. Our ranching legacy continues with the tradition of raising cow-calf pairs and quarter horses on carefully managed pastures in the Sandhills north of Stapleton, Nebraska.

Hands-on management of the ranch and preserving natural resources for future generations have been our top priorities for over 120 years as a family. That holistic mindset began with my great-great grandfather Wallace Baskin and his wife Mary Josephine when they purchased the ranch in May of 1901 from Danish settlers.

I’ve always admired the spirit and dedication of my ancestors as stewards of the land, while producing an excellent product in the heart of beef country in Nebraska.
