Downing Ranch
Downing Ranch is a family-owned cow/calf operation, consisting of 7,000 contiguous acres. The tripoint of Thomas, Blaine, and Logan Counties is located right in the heart of our property. This part of Nebraska is a location in high demand for hunting. The ranch is looking to be an excellent destination for turkey hunting this Spring as we see hundreds of turkeys daily. You don't need to go far to find them!
The ranch has signs of wildlife everywhere and really everything that game needs to thrive: Hardwoods, Shelterbelts, creeks, and riverbottom. Over three miles of Dismal River flows through the northern part of the ranch. Our ranch is also bordered to the north by over 90,000 acres of the Nebraska National Forest.
As of right now, we don't provide lodging on the property; however, North Platte and Interstate-80 are just over an hour away. Camping and RV stays will be permitted on a case-by-case basis.

Available Packages
Downing Ranch has some of the best hunting I have seen. With 7,000 acres and 3 miles of river. There is always another spot to sit. Tim says 100+ Turkey hang around the house each morning.

Tim was a great host! I arrived a little after sunrise and he was there to drive me around the property. While driving around we saw two different toms, grouse, ducks and lots of deer. There was so much wildlife and different habitat for them to flourish. I was able to set up and get a nice Tom the same day. The property has certain areas with easy access by vehicle if you don't want to walk far or has areas that require a lot more walking, just depends on the kind of hunt you want to do. I had a great time and will definitely be back!

Tim was an awesome host. He was kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. I felt like part of the family! The land was beautiful and there were turkeys. I really enjoyed my time at Downing Ranch.

I went to Tim's property with my daughter. We really enjoyed our trip. Tim was a great host. He was very responsive. We meet up as planned and went over everything on arrival. He was a genuinely good guy to us on our trip. He gave us great info and did all he could to help us out on our hunt.

The Downing Ranch is an amazing property. The amount of wildlife on this property is crazy. Two days is also no where close to long enough to cover all 7,000 acres Tim offers. We saw dozens of Turkey while out there hunting. Some strong winds made calling pretty difficult and unfortunately we were unable to seal the deal on any. Tim was also very informative and open to helping us out in any way that he could. I will definitely be booking this property again in the future.
