Far West Farm is located in Morris County, Kansas, and is named for an extinct, far-reaching settlement during westward expansion across the Great Plains. Transferred to Audubon of Kansas in December of 2025, our organization aims to manage this property in a way that provides healthy native habitat for wildlife to flourish while supporting farming and ranching.

Totaling 212 acres, the property consists of 87 acres of cropland, a fenced 97-acre pasture for grazing, a small pond, a series of restored grassland buffer strips, and a riparian woodland along the banks of Clarks Creek, which meanders in and out of the western boundary. The mix of grain, forage, water, and wooded creek bottom gives our deer population what they need year-round.

No bird hunting of any kind is permitted on the property.

Herington is about 6 miles away for fuel and supplies, and Council Grove is 21 miles east. Manhattan Regional Airport is approximately 38 miles northwest, and Wichita's airport is about 98 miles south.
