Though not always present in large numbers, coyotes do move through the area, particularly during late fall and winter. The open plateaus make for good glassing, and the brushy draws offer natural travel corridors. Calling setups near water or cover can be productive when conditions are right.

Set just outside the town of Asotin in southeastern Washington, the Flyin Lazy V is a 1,273-acre working ranch that's been in the same family for three generations. This property offers a classic Pacific Northwest hunting experience, with a mix of productive hay ground, open pastures, and rugged coulees that drop into brushy, timbered creek draws. It’s a place where cattle graze the upper plateaus, hay is still cut in season, and generations have quietly watched wildlife move through the shadows of the draws.

There are a few portions of the property in CRP, which, along with the native grasses and brush, provides excellent ground cover and bedding for wildlife.
