Frying Pan Ranch

Nearest Town, Lodge Grass, Montana
8,200 acres
This sprawling, beautiful property offers excellent mule deer & turkey hunting. We also have quite a few grouse that can be hunted. Located in Kirby, MT, we've got just over 8,200+acres of rolling wooded hills, craggy draws and creek bottoms. All of this leads to ideal Mule deer habitat of which we have quite a few. We're offering buck hunts and doe hunts as well. Buck hunts are a 3-day minimum and doe hunts can be done as day hunts. We have tons of does and this could be a great opportunity to either fill the freezer or take your kid out for their hunt.

We've also got a very healthy population of turkeys and are offering turkey hunts with a minimum of 2-day hunts.

Grouse can also be hunted on a day hunt basis.

An added perk is that the property is located across the road from the iconic Kirby Saloon. It is a great place to grab some lunch or have a drink after a successful hunt!

The Frying Pan Ranch is loaded with wildlife. The terrain is filled with small coulees and creek beds with occasional water from springs. I see multiple flocks of turkeys (4-10 birds) and tons of mule deer every time I visit.

I'll give Jim and the ranch a 5 star rating. He was very helpful and responsive and the ranch is a beautiful place. My wife and I hunted turkey there for 4 days. We heard but one Tom gobble the entire trip, and harvested him. Saw no tracks in muddy areas on roads and no droppings.

A tough hunt with steep terrain. Be prepared to walk a lot to locate birds. Jim has a beautiful Ranch and he’s great to deal with.
