Our farm is located just South of Cheney Reservoir in Mount Vernon, Kansas. Our ground consists of cropland and timber with creeks scattered throughout the farm.
We are looking forward to inviting guests to our 3rd Annual Family Branding. A family of four will be able to join us Memorial Weekend for this educational and fun ranching experience. Families that participate in this weekend are from several states and we have current and former NFR bareback contestants and national competitors who partake in the activities.
We are also pleased to be offering hunting experiences for turkey, dove, quail, and waterfowl. We will also be doing archery whitetail hunts on a portion of our acreage.
We will have catering available as part of the Annual Branding package. Special catering could be available for other events if desired for a fee.

This property west of Wichita has so much to offer! Very clean farmstead with great, heavily brushed corridors and perimeters with CRP for deer, turkey, and quail excursions. The branding experience will provide memories for a lifetime for families!

Landowner Rules: We will want to visit with you before you come to the branding event. We want you to be prepared and equipped. IE: Clothing, shoes, rain gear, etc. For hunting experiences, we would prefer to meet with you the evening before. We will take you to the property, and answer any questions, so the following day you know where to go, etc.

Properties were easily accessible. We heard turkeys every day but as hunting goes things just didn’t work out. Had two coming in one morning and had a coyote come in and bust things up. Another morning they henned up and just wasn’t interested in anything. Landowner was awesome. Mr Pat was nice and helpful and gave all the information he knew about what the game was doing.

I had the pleasure to hunt turkey at Lori’s place for a couple days. Her husband, Pat, showed me around their different properties which was great. The communication was excellent and made it easy to come up with a game plan. There were a lot of turkeys on the property and it looked like a great place to hunt doves later in the year. Hopefully I’ll make it back in the near future. Thanks!

Pat and Lori were wonderful hosts, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visits with them. Farm I hunted on was typical for south central Kansas. A mix of crop fields and river bottom timber. Turkey populations are down all over the country, but I was able to harvest a nice tom when the wind finally calmed down.

I would recomend to anyone.just all around good people.I saw turkeys everyday and lots of them. To bad the hens kept the toms just out of reach.I will book again. Thanks again Pat for an amazing hunt. Though i did not get a chance to meet Lori, she was very kind and responded to my questions rapidly.

Our property is a multi-generational working farm and ranch. We primarily raise wheat, and feed/sedan for our cattle. We also operate a seed cleaning business and clean seed wheat.
We have two grown children that helped on the farm and were active in 4-H, sports and academics while in school. Our oldest daughter is married and lives on a farm about 45 miles away and has 2 little boys. She is a 4-H Extension agent, and her husband is an Ag Banker. Our youngest daughter lives in Colorado Springs and works for the PRCA as a Sponsorship Fulfillment Manager.
