The combination of water, grain, and heavy cover pulls deer, waterfowl, and other wildlife through regularly, making it a productive spot for photography and observation. Whether you are walking the ridgelines or sitting quietly near the oxbow, there is consistent activity on this ground across all seasons.

The Humboldt Retreat is a 224-acre grain farm and hunting retreat in southeast Nebraska that has been in our family since 1893. With working cropland, wooded hillsides, and an old oxbow lake, we are proud to call the farm home. 

We are just two miles outside of Humboldt, Nebraska, with Lincoln roughly 1.5 hours (95 miles) to the northwest.
