From Vermilion Parish, Leigh Godchaux is the Marketing & Guest Relations Director for L'Terre at Live Oak Farm. Live Oak has been in her family for over 100 years and she acts as the family representative and liason for the property, owned by Godchaux Farm. She follows in her mother's footsteps who began as the farm manager in 1980 and now as an owner, continues to play a significant role. In 2010, Leigh formed P&G Acres with a family member, taking over the rice farming production where she also directly worked in cattle and alligator operations. Active and hands-on for over 15 years, she has now transitioned from direct management of her own rice crop and teamed up with L'Terre to open Live Oak Farm for the first time in history to share this extraordinary and unique place. She is also a limited partner and managing employee of Abbeville Family Partnership, coaches highschool girls soccer, and along with her family, is a large supporter of the Boys and Girls Club in Abbeville. She attended Vanderbilt University for two years and played collegiate soccer before returning to Louisiana to earn a bachelor’s degree from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in public relations and marketing.
