Lawson's Timber
Lawson's Timber is a beautifully secluded property just 15 miles north of Platte County's county seat Columbus.
The acreage consists of row crop and pasture ground with about 60 acres of thick timber. A good amount of this timber is found along the Loseke Creekbottom, which runs through the eastern half of our property. We have some lightly-traveled trails throughout the ground. Guests can easily walk the property and search for arrowheads or pick berries.
Hunting at Lawson's Timber will be a great option for folks looking for an easily accessible local spot from Columbus or the surrounding area. We have a good turkey population with opportunity for whitetails as well. Loseke Creek area will be the best spot to set up! For all hunts, we ask that sportsmen book a minimum of two days.
We don't have lodging available on the property; however, guests are welcome to camp on the property for multi-day stays or make the short drive from Columbus or Creston. NO CAMPFIRES!
We look forward to hosting you!

Dale and I heard multiple turkey gobbles as we walked the property. We also spooked up a big group of deer in the timber.
