Markuson Ranch
We are located 13 miles northwest of Ekalaka, MT. We are a fifth generation family cattle ranch. Our landscape would be classified as the epitomy of prairies: rolling hills and grasslands made up of both tame and native grasses. We have antelope, whitetail deer, mule deer, birds, coyotes, and prairie dogs. We are very isolated, so there is plenty of opportunity to escape civilization and enjoy the serenity of nature.

5.0Tara and Clay were excellent hosts. They were super helpful in helping me locate some antelope and understanding the ranch layout. The ranch was incredible and exactly what I was looking for for my antelope hunt. The property held plenty of antelope and gave me the opportunity to fill my tags. Can’t say thank you enough to Tara and Clay and excited to book again in the future.

Reviewed by Landowner on October 2024The hosts were responsive to all communication and very welcoming during our time on the ranch. I harvested my first-ever Antelope buck on this property and hope to return here next year. Highly recommend!

Reviewed by Landowner on October 20242023 is a tough season for deer numbers in all of the 700 region of Montana. This property wasn't immune to that. Very little sign or deer activity. The host was very nice and met us before the hunt to suggest areas to try and was honest about what they were...or were not seeing. In a year with better population numbers, this could be a great place to hunt. There is lots of natural habitat and the place is huge. Just not much going on in 2023.
