Moore Livestock
The Moore Family Livestock Ranch is 5th-generation commercial cow/calf operation in the foothills of the Crazy Mountains. Our family has been ranching here just west of Two Dot since 1873, making us the oldest ranch in the Upper Musselshell Valley. We ranch just over 12,000 acres on the northern side of the Crazies, raising black angus cattle. The ranch is beautifully secluded and features a large range in elevation from about 4,500 feet to as high as 6,500 feet.
Opportunities for recreation are endless. We will be offering fishing on our spring creeks. Birdwatching here is also one of the better offerings we have here as a proud member of the Montana Audubon Conservation Ranching Program. A recent bird data summary (Montana Audubon Conservation Ranching - Bird Data Summary (2023)), detected 80 total species at Moore Ranch out of 165 total species observed on ACR ranches across Montana in 2023. This is the highest species diversity ever detected at an ACR ranch! Horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and more are also all available as ways to enjoy our private piece of Montana!
We look forward to hosting you!

The ranch is absolutely breathtaking. Lots of timber in higher grounds that provide some spectacular views and even a little waterfall! The bird diversity on the ranch is some of the best that has been observed in the state.
