Fishing here on the ranch is world class. We have several spring creeks with smaller brookies and browns and have a 19-acre pond that is full of large wild trout. It's a sweet place!

Spring Creek Fishing Experience

We have seen an influx of new birds on the property that we have never seen before, ever since a burn on the property last summer.
This property has great potential for Long-billed Curlew nesting.
In addition to our bird species, the ranch is also home to an abundant wildlife population, including Elk, Deer, Moose, and many other types of animals.

Hunt mule deer at Gaugler Ranch!
The ranch consists of wide open and sprawling terrain. A large coulee cuts through the property, providing some nice breaky habitat. In this lower ground, there's also a large pond.
The pond and livestock tanks provide good water sources for mule deer, while the grasslands and rolling hills provide the open habitat that mule deer like.

Mule Deer Hunt

Anglers are invited to fish our spring creeks, which are home to 8-10" brook trout. This would be a great experience for kids or anglers who are just trying to get away from busy public access or blown out rivers.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Good opportunities in the Miller Creek and Little Elk Creek as they both flow towards the Two Dot Canal.

Spring Creek Brookies Fishing Experience

Hunt elk on our rolling hills as they transit down from the Snowys. We will be offering Shoulder Season hunts, which will be a great opportunity to fill the freezer this Winter.

Birders looking to visit the ranch are encouraged to take a look at the recent Audubon Conservation Ranching Report we had completed this year. Key notes from their report are below, in addition to a link to the full report:

<li>We detected 10 of 22 Montana Grassland priority bird species on Moore Ranch in 2023.</li>
<li>Two MT Audubon Technicians (Bo and Christian) detected a total of 614 individuals on 3 surveys.</li>
<li>Of 165 total species detected on ACR ranches across Montana in 2023, we detected 80 total species at Moore Ranch.</li>

<li>This is the highest species diversity ever detected at an ACR ranch!</li>
</ul>

Mule Deer Only. No Whitetail hunting at this time as numbers are too low.
Sportsmen can expect to catch mule deer as they transit from the neighboring flats and high ground to our creek bottom and hills.
