Mountain High Ranch is located in Hesperus, Colorado, offering Big/Small game hunts with lodging in our rustic cabin on 470 acres of private land. We are located 25 minutes outside of Durango, Colorado.

The ranch represents Colorado's Unit 741.

We really manage the ranch to help wildlife thrive. We plant with the USDA like Triticale, Oats, Alfalfa, sunflowers, a practice we've implemented over the last 20+ years.

A major hotspot for wildlife is the livestock tanks and water troughs that are always full providing water for elk, mule deer, bears, mountain lions, lynx, and more! Occasionally, we will flood sloughs for the wildlife. We also have a pond that is full year-round... this watering hole is another hotspot!

Hunters can take advantage of two structures that our on the ranch all the time, which the wildlife is used to. We have a horse trailer that is set up and an old combine that provides an aerial view of one of the fields. With prior coordination we are also happy to provide ground blinds to put where you'd like before you come out!

I currently have 10 game cameras and will be getting more, I have them set up by the livestock tanks and by the pond, and where I often see evidence of wildlife. I check my cameras religiously once a week, and will update my listing's field notes, so be sure to follow us here on LandTrust!
