Oak View Ranch
Sitting on 4,200 acres of land, this working cattle ranch has history! The property used to be a part of the Oak View amusement park back in the 1800s: recreating on this land is in its roots! The original owner decided to make a modern-day amusement park for recreational purposes. The park featured its own baseball field and team, a large ballroom with an octagon dance floor, cabins and boats, a rodeo, and an olympic-size swimming pool. The barn wasn’t just home to horses and sheep, but used to host barn dances as well. Over 100 years later, we have renovated this barn into our main lodge and the living room floor sits right where the dance hall floor used to be. Although the old park land is not part of our hunting grounds, we are happy to show people around if they are interested.
Meanwhile, the remainder of the land is great for hunting. Just 3 hours outside of Omaha, NE, we are located right on the edge of the Nebraska Sandhills. The property features everything from rolling grassland hills to oak hardwood bottoms to cedar timber. There are several hay meadows and alfalfa fields as well as small row crops that we use as our food plots. Water sources include Verdigre Creek running through part of the land as well as several private ponds. We are happy to allow sportsmen to take a few fish home, although we are primarily focused on the hunting grounds. With rolling grasslands in the west, hardwood bottoms in the east and everything in between, we are a very diverse property!

3 Day Turkey Hunt Choice of Lodging
$850.00 per Sportsmen
2 Day/Night Fishing With A-Frame Cabin
$225.00 per Person
We are happy to offer two options for lodging. Our main lodge features a bunk house with three sets of bunk beds, two being twin over fulls, and a loft with a few more twin beds. In all, it can host about 8-10 people. In addition, the lodge has two bathrooms and showers, washer/dryer, a game cleaning room, and full kitchen.
The second lodging option includes an A-frame cabin that we built 23 years ago. The cabin is located just a half mile from the main lodge and hosts two beds on the lower level plus two on the second floor. There is no running water or electricity- the cabin runs on propane for a cookstove and a wood stove for heat. However, it sits right on the shore of one of our lakes and some of our guests really love it for the peace and quiet it can provide.
We believe that you will have the best experience on our land if we give you a 3-day guided or semi-guided hunt. We are dedicated to the process; arrive the evening before and we will make sure you have a great few days of hunting! We know exactly how to navigate the food plots, utilize the game cameras and blinds, etc. so you can be sure something happens out there.
Sportsmen are responsible for having their own permits, Nebraska does not allow us to sell our Landowner permits to anyone other than family. Turkey permits are unlimited in NE.
No drugs allowed on the premise of the ranch and no alcohol when out hunting.

Enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing and almost anything in the great outdoors. I esp like big game hunting and have been lucky enough to hunt in several of our western states and Alaska.
