Just south of Derby and only about 15 minutes from Wichita, Rockford Farm Kansas offers a conveniently accessible escape for sportsmen looking to get in a solid hunt without a long drive.

Our family-owned alfalfa and winter wheat fields are located in Kansas Unit 15 for whitetail and Unit 6 for turkey. A patchwork of pasture, winter wheat, and mature tree lines provides dependable habitat, while surrounding ag fields help fuel consistent wildlife movement through the area.

Whitetail bowhunters will find strong activity thanks to the farm’s natural funnels and cover-heavy boundaries. The property experiences heavy deer traffic, especially along timber corridors that run between food sources and bedding pockets. Bowhunters can catch bucks as they cruise in and out of the fields to feed. We do have feeders and mineral blocks on the farm as well, PLUS over 1.25 miles-worth of food plots along major deer paths on the property.

Turkey frequent the southern portions of the farm, where terrain softens and vegetation thickens, perfect for setting up decoys and a blind in the spring.

Quail cover is especially solid, with healthy numbers of birds taking advantage of the thick grass and scattered shrub lines. While pheasant numbers have dropped off due to drought cycles and predator pressure, quail are still thriving and they are fat from the rich forage! Doves are also abundant around our pasture areas, offering fast-paced wingshooting action early in the season. Coyotes are active across the property, and goose hunters will appreciate the presence of winter wheat that draws in migrating Canada geese!

Note: All hunters need to have their own tag and follow state rules, minors need to be accompanied by an adult over 21, and all hunters are required to have hunter safety.
